Dr Mahathir’s blog

So Dr M has finally joined the blogging bandwagon! I can’t say I was surprised especially after the exclusive interview he granted Malaysiakini not too long ago, and the letter he wrote in Malaysiakini.

I think now that he is no longer in the government he realizes that anything he has to say, carries as much weight as any other ordinary citizen. I may not always agree with what he has to say in his blog but he has as much right as any other blogger to voice his opinions.

There are signs already that the government is paying a lot more attention to the alternative media and bloggers. Other government higher ups, like the chief minister of Malacca and former MB of Selangor, are also jumping on the blogging bandwagon.

The results of the last elections have proven beyond a doubt the power that can be harnessed from cyberspace. If the present government wants to remain competitive in the information war, it has to get involved and pay attention to what is going on with the mood of the rakyat via the internet.

When I checked Dr M’s blog earlier, http://www.chedet.com, there were already nearly 400 comments. I think it is good that he has allowed people to comment without moderation, for now at least. At least when I disagree with what he has to say, I can leave a comment on his blog!

I wished more of those in government will start their own blogs too! So we can leave comments on our dissatisfaction on their blogs!

If only everyone knows how to blog
Into each mind then we can log
To ensure that there’s no clog
Without any dead horse to flog

With a little helping hand from Tun Mahathir in his blogging, there will be a better chance for a better Malaysia very soon.

He himself have mentioned that “BUKAN UMNO YANG TAK BAIK, HANYA PEMIMPINNYA YANG JAHAT”

He is the true and undying spirit for UMNO.

What ever he mistakes he have made in the past, lets forgive because deep inside he already insaf for the public. His undying flames to make Malaysia a better for all, we shall still respect him.

I beleive in his sincerity and intention trying until his last breath to make Malaysia to become a better place for all although he already retired.
